It seems that the Indian defence manufacturing sector is likely to achieve an amazing growth in the near future. The Indian defence minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, has given a clear indication about the growth potential of the country’s defence manufacturing sector in her recent statement.
While speaking at an official event organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, the minister has claimed that the demand for Indian missiles is consistently increasing in the International defence market day by day. In her statement, she has repeatedly emphasised how an Indian defence attaché working in the country’s embassies situated in the foreign countries should work in order to help the country achieve its growth in the defence manufacturing sector.
Though the minister has not said that the defence attachés who are supposed to act like a talented market executive should perform exactly like how an marketing expert performs, she has indirectly asserted that the military officers, who usually hold the defence attaché positions, much be well aware of the country’s defence manufacturing sector.
Anyway, the defence minister’s statement clearly indicates that the Indian government is keenly nourishing the defence manufacturing sector in order to transform it to one of the most powerful sectors of the country.
