Irishman, illegally detained by Egypt, released

Ibrahim Halawa, who was illegally detained by the Egyptian government, has been released from the jail.

It is learned that Mr Halawa has spent nearly four years in the Egyptian prison as an anti-government prisoner.  It is said that he, along with his sister, was arrested in connection with a siege case.

The unfortunate fact is that Mr Halawa, whose sisters were deported to their birth country immediately after the arrest, failed to achieve such a consideration from the Egyptian government.

It is clear that the top political leaders of Ireland have put immense pressure on the Egyptian authorities to material the release of their citizen.

In Ireland, there have been numerous social media campaigns demanding the immediate release of the Irishman.

As per the media report, all charges against the Irishman were dropped in last month itself.

The delay occurred in the process of completing the paperwork has in fact resulted in the delay in the release.

There is no doubt that all his family members, along with the entire citizens of Ireland, were eagerly waiting for this news of the release.

The official reports confirm that the Irishman, who is from the Irish city of Dublin, will be reunited with his family shortly.
