With the Syrian army aggressively marching forward taking all strongholds controlled by the Islamic State militant group, it is clear that the IS is likely to meet extinction in near future.
Today, the Syrian army has re-established its administration in Deir al-Zour, which is considered as the last stronghold of IS in Syria.
Deir al-Zour is very close to the Iraqi border region. So, it has been considered as a strategical region by both IS and the Iraq and Syrian armies.
It is learned that the fighters of the embattled Islamic terrorist organisation have faced a two-front attack conducted by the Syrian and Iraqi armies.
In Iraq also, the IS is in a very bad state. The Iraqi army has regained almost all the strongholds of the infamous terror organisation.
The Syrian and Iraqi government should take adequate steps to put the country’s administrations back on smooth rails. They must make sure that no such militant groups disturb the country in future. They must also make policies to rehabilitate the people displaced during the deadly war and reconstruct the cities, towns, bridges, roads and et al.
