Japan PM supports US President-elect Trump

During his short visit to New York, the Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe asserted that he has confidence in the US president-elect, Donald Trump.He further added that both countries would establish strong bilateral ties through the mutual trust.Japan was one of the longstanding allies of the United States. Since the end of the World War Two, both countries developed a strong economic relation. The US helped the ailing Japan to rebuild their economy during the aftermath of the World War Two.Anyway, after the US presidential elections, some concerns raised from various quarters regarding the future of the longstanding bilateral ties between the US and their allies.

The anti-transatlantic statements raised by the US president-elect boosted the speculations. Experts say that the new developments proved the republicans are very selective. Experts added that they are not likely to deliver a common foreign policy to all their allies. Undoubtedly, they have huge plans for Japan and Russia, experts further added.It was identified that some Japanese politicians believe the growing Chinese economy is very dangerous to Japan. It was observed that the Japanese authorities are trying to move closer to the US in order to strengthen their economy. However, Trump pointed out that the Japanese government should contribute more money to maintain the US soldiers working in their country.Notably, it was reported that the Japanese government and South Korean government is expected to develop strong nuclear weapons jointly in a bid to defend their border against the North Korean’s aggression.
