Being awarded the Superbrand status for a record 8 consecutive years stands as a testimony to the success of Joyalukkas.
Apart from the quality and trust, massive promotion initiatives also helped Joyalukkas to earn the love of its patrons. From its first promotion where Rolls Royce was given away to the winner, Joyalukkas regularly engages in promotions where its patrons are rewarded with huge prizes and great offers. Naturally, success was followed by recognition. Boasting of many prestigious awards across the globe including being awarded the Superbrand status for a record 8 consecutive years stands as a testimony to the success of Joyalukkas. After having entrenched a strong presence across the GCC, Joyalukkas began expanding its horizon back home in India. As an organized retail jewellery brand, Joyalukkas was instrumental in shifting the priorities of its customers from buying jewellery from their traditional neighbourhood family jewellers to organized retail brands like Joyalukkas.
Joyalukkas firmly believes in the concept that ‘change is the only constant’ and has rapidly adapted to suit the customer needs and demands over the years. Speaking of the transformation, Joy Alukkas said, “From providing the best shopping ambience through our showrooms to having a presence in the online space, we have adapted and shall continue to evolve with the change.”
Leading the change is John Paul Alukkas, the third-generation entrepreneur and son of Joy Alukkas.
The years of hard work has not tired Joy Alukkas one bit, and he looks in supreme form as he plans for further expansion. However, Joy Alukkas has taken a keen interest to groom his family to carry forward the legacy. Leading the change is John Paul Alukkas, the third-generation entrepreneur and son of Joy Alukkas. John Paul handles the international operations of Joyalukkas in the role of Executive Director. John Paul’s business acumen in marketing, operations and administration has added a new dimension on how the family business functions. Antony Jos, the son-in-law, manages the operations of Joyalukkas Exchange. Contributing to the family business are Joy Alukkas’ wife Jolly Alukkas, daughters Mary Alukkas and Elsa Alukkas, daughter-in-law Sonia Alukkas. The family strives to retain the tag of being recognized as the world’s favourite jeweller.
When asked what lies ahead in the future for Joyalukkas, Joy Alukkas said, “We have drawn aggressive growth plans. Our target is 200 showrooms, across 20 countries by 2020, and we have set plans in motion to accomplish this.” Canada, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Philippines and Australia are considered as the target destination for the expansion of Joyalukkas. Considering the confidence with which the group has grown, the future plans look all the more feasible and is set to mark many milestones in the years to come for Joyalukkas, the world’s favourite jeweller.
