Kidney racket probe: Kingpin nabbed in Delhi

Giving perfect boost to the investigation over the inter-state kidney racket functioning in top metropolitan hospitals, Delhi police have reportedly nabbed kingpin of the criminal gang. Recently, the Delhi police had busted a kidney racket, which was functioning in one of the top private hospitals in the capital city.Subsequently, they arrested some operatives of the criminal gang including some staffs working in nephrology department of the hospital.It is said that the police officials got some vital information while questioning the hospital-staff who enjoys easy access to patients, relatives, and doctors of the nephrology department of the top hospitals.Media reported as a police source as saying; more arrests are likely to happen in coming days.

As per media report, the criminal gang has successfully arranged nearly twenty surgeries in the capital city. Media further quoted as a source as saying; the kingpin who has been running the kidney racket since 2015 took leave from the hospital after his accomplices were arrested by the police. Anyway, it is learned that the investigation over the kidney racket is progressing in the right direction. Meanwhile, the hospital authorities reportedly clarified that they are willing to cooperate in all kind of investigation. They asserted that they don’t have any direct involvement in the kidney racket functioned inside their premise. They added that they are totally committed to protect the patients and staffs against such exploitations.
