Several protesters have organised protests in many parts of the world, especially in Paris which is regarded as the world of liberal souls, to mark their disappointment, fear, anger and protest in the ‘Libyan Slave Auction’.
The news regarding the unacceptable practice of slave auction has been initially publicised by the US-based television network, CNN.
From the report, it is clear that the slave auctions often take place in the embattled country situated in North Africa, which is very close to the Western countries.
Anyway, the Libyan government, which is supported by the United States, has asserted that they would launch an investigation into the alleged slave trade and would bring those responsible to the crime to justice.
The video, which shows the slave auction, is going viral in many social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
Libya, which is fighting terrorism, famine and deadly diseases such as Cholera, is the hub of African migrants, who come to this land in search of a way to enter the prosperous West.
Most migrants suffer serious human right abuses during this long journey towards the wealth and peace, but only few find success at the end.
Anyway, nearly one thousand protesters have participated in the rally organised in the French capital of Paris.
How long should we wait to say the world is free from this condemnable practice of ‘Slavery’?
