Mumbai: During the incident around five people deceased and many others were harmed after a foot overbridge collapsed outside the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station in Mumbai, on Thursday dusk. The bridge unites the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus railway station to the Azad Maidan police station in Mumbai.
NDRF team was switched from the accident spot at night 10:30 post conclusion of the rescue operation.
CM Girish Mahajan has initiated a high-level examination and proclaimed to inquiry report as early as possible and have declared ex gratia of Rs 5 lakh for the family of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured. The state will also manage medical expenses.
