Naresh Goyal resigns as Jet Airways Chairman, covering way for lenders to bail out the financially troubled airline he set up 25 years ago. The board meeting held here also determined on ways to secure interim funding, an official report said.
“Two nominees of the promoter, Naresh Goyal and Anita Goyal, besides one nominee of Etihad Airways will step down from the board.”
The board stated there will be paramount funding aid of Rs 1,500 crore by lenders by way of issuance of the appropriate debt instrument against the protection of the assets of Jet Airways.
