North Korea helps Syria to strengthen chemical arsenal capacity

The sensitive information leaked from an unreleased United Nation report says that the North Korean regime, which is facing severe sanction from the West, is helping Syria, which is at war with several fronts, to strength the chemical arsenal capacity.

There is no surprise in the news that Syria has military alliance with North Korea, In fact, the communist regime has been maintaining a good military relation with the oil rich, as well as disturbed, Arab country for decades.

The surprising thing is the NK’s contribution in strengthening the chemical arsenal capacity of a country, which once pledged to the west-led International organisations that they would give up their chemical arsenal capacity.

As per the report, the Scientific Studies and Research Center is the one which is spearheading the chemical arsenal experiments in Syria.

According to the report, the SSRC have even received the assistance of the North Korean scientists to develop their chemical weapon capacity.

In addition to the intellectual assistance, the Syrian agency, as per the report, has brought several materials, such as acid-resistant tiles, pipes and valves, from North Korea for the creation of their chemical weapon labs.

In the recent past, there were allegations that the Syrian forces had used chemical weapons in the rebel-held regions and Islamic State-held regions, inflecting serious injuries on the civilians living in these regions.
