In a bid to strengthen the bilateral relationship between India and Japan, our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and his Japanese counterpart, Shinzo Abe, is set to hold talks in the sideline of the Indo-Japan annual summit.
Japanese Prime Minister and his wife, Akie Abe, are in India at present to attend the summit. It is reported that the elite couple, along with our PM, last day visited the Sabarmathi Ashram, which is located at Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
While speaking to the reporters, Mr Abe has assured that his country would try to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the most powerful democracies in Asia.
He, as per the media report, has claimed that the Indo-Japanese bilateral relation will strengthen both countries’ position in the Asian region, which is presently under the clutches of the Chinese supremacy.
As per the preliminary information, both countries will discuss the subjects concerning to their ‘strategic interest’.
An expert, who have knowledge about the subject, claims that though the issues related to the trade and commerce are likely to dominate in the meeting, the leaders may also discuss the possibilities of a military agreement.
It is learned that the western powers and political intellectuals believe Delhi and Tokyo can become a perfect alternative to China, which is constantly provoking the west by increasing its capabilities in all sectors such as military and economy.
