Protesters organize large demonstration in German cities against TTIP deal

Tens of thousands of protesters gathered in the German cities, like Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, and Hamburg, in order to show their disagreement over the transatlantic trade deal.Reports say that nearly eighty thousand citizens turned out in German capital alone. As per the report, the protesters believe that the transatlantic trade would weaken the European standards of environment and food.It is a clear fact that the preponderance of European citizens is least interested in spoiling their environment and food policies.

The protesters further claim that the deal would increase the unemployment rate of the continent. In certain European countries, the unemployment rates are at its peak. Greece is the most suitable example for such a country. The protesters suspect that the deal contains several hidden provisions, which would eventually enable the conglomerates to exploit the European citizens. The TTIP deal, if implemented, will create the world largest free trade zone. The formal talks over the deal started on early 2013. The final round negation over the deal is expected to happen on coming October.Even if the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, supports the deal, several top leaders within her party and government are strongly opposing the pro-rightist deal. Moreover, the French supremo, Francois Hollande, has also raised speculation over the feasibility of the deal. However, it seems that the European Union will have to reconsider the deal in order to reinstate the people’s confidence.
