Rape is a serious crime. It can cause both physical and psychological damages. Rape has been used in several wars –small and big– happened across the world. It is high time to eliminate the use of rape as a weapon of war.
The movement to eliminate this threat should start from the ground. The spark has been put in the society when Denis Mukwege, the Congolese gynaecologist who treated several African women who were raped by armed rebels, and Nadia Murad, the Yazidi woman who escaped from the captivity of ISIS and exposed the use of sex slaves by the ISIS militants, have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize award for their contribution to eliminate the use of rape as a weapon of war.
Most studies admit that women and children are those who suffer the most in wars and conflicts. Many study reports suggest that there should be an indestructible framework to protect the women and children living in the conflict-affected regions and war-affected regions.
If the world pays little respect and care for our mothers, sisters and daughters, it is not worthy to live in that world.
Fight against the use of rape as a weapon of war!!!
