Renowned scientist Stephen Hawking is no more

Stephen Hawking, one of the most-respected scientists the world has ever seen, has died peacefully at his residence in Cambridge.

The scientists, who was also a physicists, was born on January 8, 1942. He was even compared with acclaimed scientists such as Albert Einstein and Sir Isaac Newton. It was his book, “A Brief History of Time”, which helped him to carve a special position in the world of scientists. He was into the challenging task of unlocking the secrets of universe. To an extent, he was successful.

At the age of twenty-two, a form of motor neurone disease affected him. Though the disease managed to take away most of his physical abilities, he, overcoming the predictions the patients having this form of motor neurone disease like the one which affected the scientists is less likely to live more than five years with the disease, became one of the youngest fellows of Britain’s most prestigious scientific body, the Royal Society, nearly ten year after the disease affected him.

Several renowned personalities, mainly scientists, have expressed their condolence. The diseased scientist’s family members have recalled that Hawking’s courage and persistence with his brilliance and humour inspired people across the world. They have added that they would miss him.
