To me these moments mattered as at the end, only one of us will become the winner but memories we will cherish forever”. After winning the “Miss Queen Kerala” subtitle, Reshma was the favourite in Miss South India contest but she lost the crown to Bavithra B from Tamil Nadu but made it the top three faces of Miss South India contest.
Miss South India 2017, presented by Manappuram finance limited, co-organised by Pegasus was conducted at Camelot convention centre in Aleppey. Reshma opened up candidly about the mistakes she made, “I knew that I will not win the main crown. When I was selected as one of the top 6 finalists, I just hoped and hoped for the ultimate victory. I presented myself in every round to ensure that but during the Q/A session I felt like I messed it up. Not sure if it was because of my nervousness but it didn’t go well. So I knew that I lost the Miss South India crown there and then. I made that mistake so I welcomed the result”. As mentioned, she lost the main title to Tamil beauty Bavithra who graced the ramp as the winner. Reshma remembered the big moment “I was declared as the second runner up. I felt sad because it was not the title but happy to be there as the top three. I have worked really hard in this contest and that crown means a lot to me. The judges recognised that and it felt glorious”.
