RJD leader LaLu alleges Bihar Deputy CM’s involvement in ‘NGO scam’

Tarnishing the image of the newly inducted coalition government leading the Indian state of Bihar, Rashtriya Janata Dal Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, the prime opposition leader of the state, has alleged that Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi has involvement in the NGO scam, one of the recent scams which are jolting the political hemisphere of the state. As per the report, nearly seven people have been arrested so far in connection with the scam which, as per the LaLu’s opinion, is several folds bigger and deeper than the fodder scam.

RJD supremo demands that the Central Bureau of Investigation should launch an investigation into the scam. While speaking at a gathering in Patna, the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has informed the people that a five-member team of the Economic Offence Unit has been sent to Bhagalpur, from where the arrested scamsters operated. It is identified that the government has suffered a huge loss of Rs 250 crores due to the scam. A local newspaper reporter told the national media houses that he has been informed by the investigators that the private secretary of the District Magistrate is among the seven people who have been arrested in connection with the crime. Recently, the JD(U) broke ties with the RJD and joined hands with the BJP in Bihar. The new developments indicate that the RJD has already launched a political war against the ruling regime which is currently led by the JD(U)-BJP coalition.
