RJD leaders worry about Lalu Prasad’s health

As the Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo, Lalu Prasad Yadav, who was convicted in a fodder scam case, has been taken to the Hotwar Central Jail in Ranchi, many RJD leaders have publically expressed their fear about the health of their jailed leader.

The family members of the leader have said that the leader recently underwent a serious heart surgery. They have added that Mr Lalu has to take several medicines regularly. They has further added that they are worried about the health condition of Mr Lalu.

The RJD leaders son, Tejashwi Yadav is likely to approach the High Court, aiming to free his old father from the clutches of judiciary.

It has been reported that only limited facilities have been offered to the senior leader. As per the report, in the jail room, the leader has been provided with a wooden cot, a television, and a mosquito net. It has also been learned that the leader has been allowed to bring in a cook or helper.

A local media has reported that there are several other political prisoners in the same block in which the RJD supremo has been kept.

This is not the first time the leader has received a jail term for corruption.
