In response to the United States government’s move to expel sixty Russian diplomats working in the country in different capacities, the Russian government has expelled nearly same number of US diplomats from their country.
This is not the first time that the Russian government has used the tit-for-tat tactics as a diplomatic strategy.
Earlier, in order to express their anger against the United Kingdom’s move to expel the Russian diplomats, Moscow used this tactics against the Kingdom.
The poisoning attack against a former Russian double agent and his daughter by the Russian spies allegedly with the consent of the Moscow’s top leaders was the triggering point of the conflict between the West and the erstwhile East’s legitimate predecessor.
The double agent, Sergei Skripal, and his daughter, Yulia, who were found in an unconscious state on a beach in the UK’s city of Salisbury, are still under treatment in the hospital for severe medical issues. As per a latest media updates, both of them are still in a very serious condition.
Anyway, the spy poisoning issue creates a serious rift between the erstwhile East and the West led by the UK and US.
Many pro-West countries have adopted the policy of alienation against Russia (the policy which their big brothers used against Moscow).
Will Russia use this provocative strategy against all pro-West countries which followed their big brother’s path?
