Removing another string attached to the Saudi women, the Kingdom has decided to let the country’s women enter the sports stadium from next year onwards.
Saudi is one of the extremely conservatives Muslim societies in this world. Since the induction of the new Prince, Prince Mohammed, to the key position of the Kingdome, the conservative kingdom has been witnessing a slow deviation from ‘extreme right’ to ‘moderate right’.
In the recent past, the Prince removed the restrictions imposed on the Saudi women in driving vehicles.
As part of his ambitious ‘Vision 2030’ plan, the prince aims to bring several social, religious and economic reforms in the country.
Anyway, the new move is likely to strengthen the Saudi sports sector, which is at present in a very bad state.
In early 2018, the stadiums located in three major cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam will open their gates for the Saudi Women.
It is said that the facilities of those stadiums located in the aforementioned cities will be improved in order to give good sports experiences to the families.
However, for his aggressive reform plans, the prince may face serious criticism from the conservative faction, which cannot digest the religious and social reforms.
