Showing green signal to ‘Padmaavat’, the controversial Bollywood film which has accidentally invited the ire of the warrior community of the North India, Rajput, due to a scene of the film which allegedly depicts the fictional queen of the community, Padmaavati, in a objectionable manner, the Supreme Court of India has issued stay to the government orders, released by some state governments to block the screening of the film in their states.
Rajasthan, Haryana and Gujarat are some of the North Indian states which have banned the screening of the controversial film in their states.
As per the latest information, the Indian state of Rajasthan, where the community is a dominant section of the society, and where the fictional queen’s fort is located, is likely to approach the court against the stay order, as the law and order situation in the state has been worsening since the announcement of the SC order.
Karni Sena, the organisation of the warrior community, has invited all social organisations’ participation in their fight against the screening of the film.
It seems that the North Indian states like Gujarat and Haryana will also approach the top court against the stay.
It is clear that no political parties have the strength to hurt the sentiments of the warrior community.
