Senior Congress leaders unhappy with the ministerial portfolio distribution in Karnataka

There are rumors that some senior Congress leaders such as D K Shivakumar are not happy with the ministerial portfolio distribution in the Indian state of Karnataka, in which a JD(S) led government inducted at the helm of the government with the support of the grand old party.

The initial negotiations over the ministerial portfolio distribution between the top Congress leaders of the state and the JD(S) leader were inconclusive. It was Congress President Rahul Gandhi who found a solution to the issue. The top leader of Congress directed to accept almost all demands put forward by the JD(S) leader for the sack of the coalition, ignoring the concerns raised by the Karnataka based Congress leader about the portfolio of finance and energy.

Now, the JD(S) party gets the major ministerial portfolios of finance, public work, energy, exercise, co-operation and transport, besides the chief ministerial post.

There are feeling among the Karnataka based Congress leaders that their efforts are not been properly rewarded or appreciated with proper positions.

It is a well known fact that it was Congress leader Shivakumar who played an important role in the prevention of the leakage of the JD(S) and Congress lawmakers during the time when the Saffron leaders were continuously knocking the doors of each non-BJP MLAs with huge offers ranging from money to positions.

Will the small difference in opinion between the leaders of Congress and JD(S) transform into the form of a severe factional feud?
