Putting the United States in the state of shock, nearly twenty people have been killed by a shooter in Las Vegas. Importantly, it is said that nearly one hundred people have been injured in the terrible attack.
While speaking to the media personals, a senior officer in the Las Vegas Police department has said that the department has killed the man who is responsible for this horrific act. He has added that the department at this moment could not confirm whether multiple attackers have been involved in the attack or not. He has also confirmed that the attacker had a female companion.
The police have asserted that the attacker was a local man. But, the authorities have not revealed his details. It seems that the investigators do not want to spoil the phase of the investigation by disclosing the identity of the shooter. It is believed that the investigation is in the preliminary stage.
Almost all those killed and injured have been the people who came to the party area to witness the outdoor music concert in which country music star Jason Aldean was performing.
Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn G Goodman has appealed, through his twitter handle, that all should pray for the region.
