Spice Jet announces the launch of red-eye flight services which is to start on the Delhi-Bangalore and Delhi-Nanded route from November 2. It was also reported that there is a plan to add as many as six more same services as a part of its winter schedule. So far only Jet Airways and IndiGo are offering the red-eye flight services in the country. The starting fare offered by the airline for the Delhi-Bangalore route is starting from Rs. 3,999. The red-eye flight starts late at night and arrives early in the morning. The red-eye flight is more popular in the US and Europe because of their low fare rates and is found to be more economical than the day time flights. The flight SG-149 on its Delhi-Bangalore is to start at 1.00 AM from Delhi and lands at 3.40 AM and would operate four times per week. SpiceJet currently operates three flights on its route. And the flight SG-671 on the Delhi-Nanded route is taking off at 11.30 PM from Delhi and lands in Nanded at 1.25 AM which would operate twice a week.
