Sunita Williams named among the 9 astronauts by NASA For Human Spaceflight

An Indian origin astronaut Sunita Williams is one among the nine astronauts listed by NASA for their first spaceflight program using the US made commercial space crafted installed by Boeing and SpaceX. This is going be the first human spaceflight from the USA of its space shuttle since 2011. Yet another tremendous moment for Sunita Williams.

NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine while announcing the names of the astronauts, he said: “For the first time since 2011, we are on the brink of launching American astronauts on American rockets from American soil.” The astronauts will be sent to International Space Station in voyages scheduled to begin in 2019.

Willams is part of the Boeing programme to the ISS, the first test flight is supposed to take place in the middle of next year.
