Telangana’s first transgender assembly election candidate gone missing

Chandramukhi Muvvala, the first transgender assembly election candidate of the Indian state of Telangana has been found missing early last day. The Banjara Hills police station has registered a case in connection with the missing late last day.

No person has been arrested in connection with the missing case so far. It is learned that the police officials are investigating all possibilities.

The missing candidate was a popular transgender activist. She was also a fearless public speaker. There were reports that the candidate attacked her opponents sharply during the campaign sessions.

It was only day before last day Mx. Chandramukhi commenced her campaign in her constituency Goshamahal.

As a dedicated gender activist, she has many rivals. There were many in the constituency who believed that Mx. Chandramukhi would create history by becoming the first transgender lawmaker of the state.

As per a media report, it was the candidate’s friend that informed the police officials about the missing. As per the statement that friend given to the authorities, she saw the candidate in her house hours before the reported incident.

The friend, who filed the complaint, has told the media personals that the candidate’s parents are worried about the missing incident.
