The only United States woman who saw her husband and her son hold the highest position of President in her lifetime, Barbara Bush, the wife of George H W Bush who served the country as the supremo between 1989 to 1993 and the mother of George W Bush who occupied the top post between 2001 and 2009, has passed away due to some kinds of age-related ailments, filling the heart of each and every US citizen with severe sadness.
She was an iron lady. During her service as the First Lady of the world most powerful country, she played a significant role in the social front. She was an active supporter of philanthropic activities.
She helped her husband rule the country with easiness, even though the period that Bush Senior ruled the country was the most turbulent period of the American history.
Hours after the demise of Ms Bush, her husband, Bush Senior has fallen ill and admitted in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital.
The aforementioned incident indicates that Mr Bush has a deep emotional bonding with his wife. Even though he has been visibly in a calm state during the funeral function of his dearest wife, his hurt might have been in a very disturbing state then.
