Donald Trump’s closest aid Hope Hicks, who is the White House communications director, is likely to resign from her post for a reason that she has not yet publicised.
She was once the employee of Trump’s Organisation. She was one of those luckiest officers who were taken to the White House from the Trump’s organisation. During the crucial presidential election in which Republican candidate Trump marked an astounding victory against Democrat rival Hilary Clinton, she served as the press secretary, despite the fact that she had no previous political experience.
A statement released by the White House indicates that the resignation of Ms Hicks has no connection with the testimony she made before the House Intelligence Committee regarding the Russian meddling allegation.
During the enquiry, Ms Hicks admitted that she sometimes said ‘white lies’ for Trump, but denied lying about anything related to the Russian meddling issue.
An unacknowledged report claims that the unjustifiable expulsion of White House staff secretary Rob Porter, with whom Ms Hicks has a romantic relation, is the element that has promoted the former model to take up such a hard decision.
Rob Porter was forced to resign from the powerful post after his ex-wife raised domestic abuse allegations against him. It was Ms Hicks who defended him then.
