UP election highlights: Akhilesh-Mulayam dispute melts down; Congress, SP to make alliance soon

As we witness numerous dramatic political developments, associated with the upcoming elections in five crucial states, each and every day, the UP election assembly election is largely becoming an unpredictable event in the political history of our country. Adding to this suspense, the UP Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav, who singlehandedly lead a prominent faction of his party revolting against some elites of Samajwadi Party including his own father, Mulayam Singh Yadav, who is the senior leader of the party, and his close relatives, has convened a meeting with his father following the victory of his battle over the election symbol ‘Cycle’, requesting the opposite faction’s support and extending his willingness to accept the recommendations made by the opposite faction over the candidate selection.

Meanwhile, in the SP camp powered by the young hero, a serious discussion on whether the SP should initiate an alliance with the congress party and RLD is progressing. Though at this moment, it is not yet clear whether the SP will mark a deal with the congress and some small parties or not. As per the latest updates, the party workers of all three major parties- SP, RLD and Congress- have responded positively about the talks regarding the tactical alliance. It is said that the Samajwadi Party will lead the alliance and they will contest in nearly 300 seats while the Congress and RLD will get nearly 100 seats and 30 seats respectively.  At the same time, in the opposition section, identifying the possibility of a ‘Grand Alliance’, the BJP has taken all the possible steps to defend the move and to fight the alliance courageously. In this peak of the saffron army’s triumph, it cannot withstand a sudden setback like the one it had suffered during the Bihar election.
