US court awards 90 days imprisonment to WBC title holder

 

 

The World Boxing Champion, Terence Crawford, has been awarded a 90-day imprisonment by an US court for attacking a workshop worker. As per the report, he also has to serve a two-year probation period and one hundred and twenty days community service. The court has identified that he is a repeated offender and consider himself above the judicial system of the country. The court has warned the boxing champion that you are not above the judicial system of the country. The interesting fact is that the court’s verdict comes just five days after his historic victory over John Molina. Recently, defeating Molina, he retained the WBC and WBO world light weight title. It was considered as one of his most promising performances in his career by the sport analysts.

Experts say that it is unfortunate he has received such a harsh sentence while he is standing at the peak of his professional boxing career. Some others opine that it would help the boxer to craft a better social behaviour and interaction capability. The terrible incident that invited unfortunate troubles to the boxing legend had happened at Omaha in April. The prosecution alleged that a fracas had been initiated by the boxer. It was learned that the boxer refused to pay the labour charge alleging that he did not like the work done by the workshop workers. It was told that the boxer damaged some properties inside the workshop.
