On the wake of the rapid rise in the number of cholera-related death cases in the war-affected countries, the officials of the World Health Organisations and several other health agencies across the world who are meeting in France is likely to take an oath that ‘the global health officials will end nearly ninety per cent of Cholera-related death cases by 2030’.
Cholera, which is a deadly disease, is easily treatable, so if the concerned authorities manage to make sure that all the patients across the world have access to proper treatment, they can easily meet the target.
In the recent years, there has been a rapid rise in the number of cholera cases in the war-affected regions. The reason for this phenomenon is the lack of the availability of clean food and water in these regions.
Though all regions which have no proper access to fresh water and food are vulnerable to this disease, the war-affected regions are more likely to face the severe outbreak. Yemen is one such country which has witnessed the severe outbreak of Cholera in the recent past.
The shocking fact is that nearly one lakh people die every year across the world because of the cholera-related issues.
