Father Charged with Murder as Missing Toddler Found Dead in Alligator’s Mouth

On Friday, St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway announced in a news conference that the body of missing two-year-old Taylen Mosley was found in the mouth of an alligator in a recreation area. Taylen’s mother, 20-year-old Pashun Jeffery, was found slain earlier in the week in their St. Petersburg apartment.

Detectives located the alligator while searching the area around Dell Holmes Park and fired one shot to retrieve Taylen’s intact body from the alligator’s mouth. The boy’s father, Thomas Mosley, has been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Jeffery and Taylen.

The exact cause of Taylen’s death is unknown, but Jeffery was discovered with multiple stab wounds.
