Four Suspects Arrested in Connection with Murder of Former “General Hospital” Actor Johnny Wactor

Los Angeles police have announced the arrests of four individuals in connection with the shooting death of former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor. The suspects, identified as 18-year-olds Robert Barceleau, Leonel Gutierrez, and Sergio Estrada, face charges of murder, while 22-year-old Frank Olano has been booked as an accessory. Each suspect is being held on a $2 million bond. Mayor Karen Bass praised the LAPD for their efforts in bringing those responsible for the “brazen and heinous” act to justice.

Wactor, 37, was killed on May 25 while walking to his car after a bartending shift in downtown Los Angeles. The suspects reportedly targeted him in an attempt to steal his catalytic converter. Despite the LAPD’s previous release of security images and a call for public assistance, it took several months for the arrests to be made. Wactor’s family and friends had been vocal about their frustration and held a march to demand action.

Scarlett Wactor, the actor’s mother, expressed mixed emotions following the arrests, noting her frustration with the suspects’ prior legal issues. She hopes for the harshest penalties and criticizes the system for allowing repeat offenders to evade significant consequences.
