Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Reach Temporary Custody Agreement Amid Divorce Battle

In the latest development in the ongoing divorce proceedings between celebrity couple Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, a temporary custody arrangement has been reached for their two young daughters. According to reports by USA Today, the court order mandates alternating custody between the two parents, with intervals lasting from one and a half to three weeks until January 7. The couple’s two daughters, aged one and three, will spend time with Ms. Turner and Mr. Jonas in predefined periods, including special holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.

The custody agreement allows each parent to temporarily travel with their children to any state in the United States or the United Kingdom during their designated period. To maintain transparency, both Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are required to submit a “status report letter” outlining the progress of mediation between them before December 23. This temporary arrangement follows a lawsuit filed by Ms. Turner seeking the return of their daughters to the UK, alleging that Mr. Jonas refused to hand over their passports, preventing them from returning to their “forever home.” Joe Jonas countered these claims by stating they had agreed to work on a co-parenting plan, resulting in their daughters remaining in New York City.

The high-profile couple, who were married in 2019 after nearly three years of dating, is now in the midst of a divorce after four years of marriage. Mr. Jonas filed for divorce earlier this month, citing an “irretrievably broken” relationship. The custody arrangement underscores the complex legal and emotional challenges faced by celebrity couples navigating divorce proceedings while prioritizing the well-being of their children.
