Lyntris raised $297.5 million in a downsized U.S. initial public offering after pricing its shares below the marketed range, highlighting continued investor caution despite renewed interest in defense stocks.
The Falls Church, Virginia-based defense contractor priced 17 million shares at $17.50 each, compared with its initial plan to offer 24 million shares at $19 to $22. The company sold about 5.7 million shares, while existing shareholders significantly reduced the number of shares they were selling.
Lyntris develops battlefield sensors and software for the U.S. and allied militaries and is the latest defense company seeking a New York listing amid heightened demand for defense technology. However, analysts noted that investors remain focused on sustainable growth and debt reduction. Lyntris had $272 million in long-term debt as of June 30 and reported a $13 million net loss on $241 million in revenue for the first half of 2026. Its shares are set to begin trading on the NYSE under the ticker LYNX on Wednesday.
