US to ban TikTok

The North American country of the United States of America has decided to ban TikTok, a video sharing app owned by the Asian country of China.

The decision has come shortly after India, one of the key partners of the US in Asia, banned the app.

The key decision has been announced by US President Donald Trump. He has said he would release an order within few days.

He has claimed that the Chinese app violated the data privacy policy followed by the country. The US security authority has said that the app could be used to secure the personal information of US citizens.

The video sharing company has denied all allegations raised against the app.

There is a clear political angle in the development. The US at present not in good terms with China – which the second most powerful country in the world.

There are at least 80 million people who use this app in the US.
