100 Months, Countless Lives Touched: Ajit Ravi’s Silent Charity Challenge

What began as a quiet promise to help those in need has turned into a powerful story of resilience and compassion. Ajit Ravi has completed his self-imposed “100 Life Challenge,” donating 80% of his 8-hour salary every month for 100 straight months to support causes ranging from heart surgeries to children’s education. The journey began back in 2015 during his time at Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL).

Even as life threw its challenges — including periods without salary, job-related obstacles, and the chaos of the COVID-19 crisis — Ajit stayed true to his mission. He continued his donations without pause, even substituting equivalent contributions during months when income didn’t come through.

The challenge was born from his belief in “Individual Social Responsibility (ISR),” a philosophy urging individuals to make meaningful personal contributions to society. “I really believed someone would step up too — but no one ever did. That still stays with me,” he says. In a world that often equates charity with fame, Ajit’s quiet dedication is a breath of fresh air.
