Singer Cassandra Ventura, professionally known as Cassie, has filed a federal lawsuit against rapper and record executive Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of a decade-long cycle of abuse, rape, and sex trafficking. The complaint paints a harrowing picture of control and violence, detailing instances where Combs allegedly exerted complete dominance over Ventura’s life since their meeting in 2005 when she was 19. Ventura, breaking her silence, stated, “With the expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act fast approaching, it became clear that this was an opportunity to speak up about the trauma I have experienced and that I will be recovering from for the rest of my life.”
The lawsuit lists disturbing allegations against Combs, including claims of rape, physical assaults resulting in severe injuries, and instances where he allegedly destroyed property out of jealousy. Additionally, the complaint asserts that Combs forced Ventura into sexual encounters with male escorts while filming, adding to her distress. Combs vehemently denies the accusations, with his attorney branding Ventura’s claims as part of a $30 million blackmail attempt, a charge Ventura’s lawyer refutes, stating that she refused an eight-figure settlement from Combs in favor of seeking justice and giving voice to women facing similar situations.
