Declan’s astonishing abilities have astonished her parents since infancy. Her mother, Meachel Lopez, recalls Declan grasping her bottle from day one and astonishingly speaking Mandarin at just 18 months old. Describing her daughter as an “amazing little kid” with an insatiable curiosity, Ms. Lopez has actively nurtured Declan’s hunger for knowledge, crafting a week-long schedule dedicated to different subjects, from arts and science to in-depth explorations of the periodic table.
