Clearly indicating that the Communist country will not tolerate any political, social and cultural activities which question its communist -in other sense ‘autocratic’- structural framework, the Chinese court, in line with Chinese President Xi Jinping’s attitude- that is ‘zero tolerance to dissent’, has given two years imprisonment to world-renowned human rights lawyer Jiang Tianyong for inciting subversion of state power and defaming the leftist political system that runs the state.
Tianyong’s wife has claimed that the verdict is totally unacceptable. She has added that she and her family were not allowed to contact her jailed husband.
The Communist China, which has no respect for the opposition, has been practicing serious human rights violations in instances of dealing with the dissent and anti-government activities since it took over the helm of the most populous nation in the world.
The Amnesty International, one of the popular International human rights organisations, has alleged that the China’s court trial on the Tianyong is a sham.
At this moment, it is not clear whether the jailed lawyer will approach any other court for justice. It is unlikely that the International Organisations such as the United Nations will interfere in the issue.
Some political experts claim that the Chinese Communist Party is presently in a war on law, which may derail the state and its framework in future.
