In a significant development, a Connecticut court has officially declared Jennifer Farber Dulos, the missing New Canaan mom who disappeared on May 24, 2019, to be deceased. The decision comes after more than four years of extensive efforts by local and state police authorities to locate her body. Despite ongoing investigations and the arrest of her husband, real estate developer Fotis Dulos, on murder charges, Jennifer’s remains were never found. Fotis Dulos, who maintained his innocence, died at a New York City hospital in 2020, two days after attempting suicide at his home.
The court’s declaration of Jennifer’s death comes just as Fotis Dulos’ lover, Michelle Troconis, is set to face trial. Michelle is charged with second-degree hindering prosecution, tampering with physical evidence, and conspiracy to murder in connection with Jennifer’s disappearance. The trial, initially scheduled to begin on January 8, was later postponed to January 11. Twelve jurors, including six alternates, have been selected for the case. Jennifer’s children, aged between 13 and 17, are currently in the care of their grandmother.
Before her disappearance, Jennifer was in the midst of a bitter divorce with Fotis. She had alleged that Fotis harbored revenge fantasies against those he perceived as having wronged him, citing an incident where he reportedly attempted to hit her with a car. These revelations underscore the complex and troubling circumstances surrounding Jennifer Farber Dulos’ disappearance and the legal proceedings that have followed.
