Putting the life of the people living in the mountain state of China in a serious trouble, two severe earthquakes measuring 6.9 and 5 respectively on Richter Scale have hit Nyingchi Prefecture in Tibet.
The place where the earthquake has hit is very close to the Indian borders. It is not clear whether any region located in India has experienced a similar earthquake.
As per the reports published in the Chinese state-run media, the first earthquake has hit at 4.04 am IST today and the second earthquake has struck on 6.01 am Indian Standard Time.
No information regarding the extent of damage it has inflicted on the people and property has been publicised yet.
Tibet is an autonomous region of China. It is located on the top of Himalayan ranges. The nature of this land makes it highly vulnerable to the earthquake, tremor and other natural calamities related to the earthquake.
