JetBlue Flights Resume After Brief System Outage Triggers Groundstop

Operations of U.S.-based airline JetBlue were briefly disrupted on Tuesday after the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a temporary groundstop for all JetBlue flights at the airline’s request. The halt lasted less than an hour before it was lifted once the airline resolved the technical issue.

JetBlue later confirmed that a short-lived system outage had caused the disruption but said the problem had been fixed quickly. “A brief system outage has been resolved and we have resumed operations,” a JetBlue spokesperson said in a statement, without providing further details about the nature of the outage.

Headquartered in New York, JetBlue operates flights to more than 110 destinations across the United States, the Caribbean, Latin America, Canada and Europe. The FAA groundstop was implemented as a precautionary measure to ensure operational safety until the airline restored its systems.
