Justin Timberlake Arrested for Suspected DUI in the Hamptons

Early Tuesday morning, Justin Timberlake, identified as a 43-year-old resident of Franklin, Tennessee, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Sag Harbor, Long Island. According to police reports, Timberlake was pulled over for driving through a stop sign and failing to maintain his lane while driving a gray BMW. Upon interacting with Timberlake, officers noted signs of intoxication such as bloodshot and glassy eyes, a strong smell of alcohol on his breath, and poor performance on sobriety tests.

Following his arrest, Timberlake was arraigned and released without bail, pleading not guilty to the charges. Edward Burke Jr.’s attorney stated intentions to vigorously defend Timberlake and await full discovery from the District Attorney’s office. The singer-actor, who had claimed to have consumed “one martini,” reportedly refused chemical testing for impairment, a decision that legal analysts suggest could impact his driving privileges and be used as evidence of guilt in court. Timberlake is scheduled to appear in court on July 26, amidst his ongoing music tour engagements across the United States.
