Martha Stewart Joins Swansea City Ownership Group

American businesswoman and television personality Martha Stewart has joined Swansea City as a co-owner, the Welsh Championship club announced on Tuesday. Stewart, widely recognised as the first female self-made billionaire in the United States, was recently present at the Swansea.com Stadium as a guest during Swansea’s 2–1 Championship victory over rivals Wrexham last Friday.

Welcoming her addition, the club said Stewart’s experience of the matchday atmosphere had strengthened her enthusiasm for becoming part of Swansea City’s future. “We are very excited to welcome Martha on board,” the club said in a statement, adding that witnessing the game in person had increased her anticipation and commitment to the project.

Stewart becomes the latest high-profile figure to take a minority stake in the club, following U.S. rapper Snoop Dogg, who joined in July, and football icon Luka Modric, who became a co-owner in April. Swansea currently sit 19th in the Championship standings and are set to face league leaders Coventry City later on Friday.
