Infosys Co- Founder NR Narayana Murthy said that only way to save the IT sector is by cutting the salary of its top executives. The salary cut of top officials can restrain the IT companies from laying of the young budding IT executives. He stated that this was once successfully used in 2001 and is no harm to the industry. He also stated that 20 years of high was exceptional and downfall is a natural process in any industry. Over the years there have been many boomings and downfalls in various sectors. To save the IT sector, layoff of young executives won’t help. Like machines, when new and young, it has the capability to perform more than expected. But the layoff’s have made these young and fresh executives life miserable. The challenge is not extra ordinary as over the years even top officials have proved themselves. But for future they definitely need to cut their income for the coming generation.
