During the altercation, Brianna Long was struck by a bullet, leading to her untimely demise. While there were numerous patrons present at the time, it remains unclear whether there were other injuries. Several vehicles in the vicinity were also hit by gunfire. No arrests have been made yet, and the investigation is ongoing.
Brianna Long, described as a “bright light” in the lives of those who knew her, was a recent graduate of Paulding County High School in 2020 and was on her way to obtaining a degree in dental hygiene from Valdosta State University. Her obituary painted a picture of a young woman known for her determination to make a positive impact on those around her, evident in all aspects of her life. The grieving family, including her parents, two brothers, and grandparents, shared that Brianna had been a lifeguard, high school soccer star, and cheerleader. A GoFundMe campaign has already garnered significant support to help the family during this difficult time. A public celebration of Brianna Long’s life is scheduled at her former high school this Sunday, where she will be remembered for her infectious laughter, genuine personality, and ability to touch the lives of countless individuals with her compassion and empathy.
