Tragedy struck the extreme sports world as renowned French daredevil Remi Lucidi, aged 30, met a fatal end during one of his daring stunts in Hong Kong. The fearless thrill-seeker was found dead after falling off the 68-story Tregunter Tower complex in what authorities believe was a tragic accident. According to the South China Morning Post, Lucidi was attempting to climb the skyscraper when he lost his footing and plunged to his death. His lifeless body was discovered outside the top-floor penthouse, where he had apparently been frantically knocking on a window, startling a maid inside the apartment. The incident, which occurred in the evening, was captured on CCTV footage, showing the daredevil’s journey up the building before the unfortunate fall.
Hong Kong officials revealed that Lucidi was spotted at the Tregunter Tower complex around 6 pm, claiming to be visiting a friend on the 40th floor. However, when the security guard tried to intervene after the alleged friend denied knowing him, it was already too late as Lucidi had managed to enter an elevator. The media outlet reported that he later reached the 49th floor before taking the stairs to the top of the building. Astonishingly, he was seen alive at 7.38 pm, tapping on the window of the penthouse, seemingly seeking help. Unfortunately, before assistance could arrive, he lost his balance and fell to his untimely death. Police discovered Mr. Lucidi’s camera at the scene, containing footage of his other high-rise stunts, adding to the tragic circumstances surrounding his passing. The official cause of death is yet to be released by authorities.
