Putting an end to the United States federal shutdown, the Democrats and Republicans have voted in favour of the temporary funding bill presented by the government before the Senate and House of Representatives.
Earlier, the Democrats backed from taking part in the voting process, paving the way for a temporary federal shutdown.
The ruling Republican government’s reluctance to accept the Democrats’ demand of a discussion around the immigration issues was the prime reason that prompted the Democrats to take a tough stand against the government in the Senate and House of Representatives.
Finally, the solution has been reached today when the ruling government led by President Donald Trump, has expressed its willingness to consider such a discussion.
At this moment, it is not clear when this discussion will happen, and what will be the prime subjects in the discussion table. Anyway, there is clarity in one thing that the Democrats will give more stress in the issues related to the young immigrants who came to country as children.
Earlier, there were reports that the US government would withdraw the law, which gives impunity to the young arrivals from deportation and other similar procedures.
The stricter immigration policies were the prime campaign promises given by the present President.
