US House of Representatives passes bill against China

The United States House of Representatives has passed a bill, which demands the US administration led by Donald Trump to take a tough stand against the crackdown executed by China against its Uighur Muslim community in its Xinjiang region.

The latest bill is the successor of the bill passed by the US Senate a few months before.

China was quick to condemn the bill.

The Chinese government, which denounced the bill passed in the US Senate, has come out strongly against the present bill also. It has called the present bill malicious.

China runs several detention centres to house people from the Uighur Muslim community, whom the county think are trouble makers, in its Xinjiang region, where the people from the aforesaid community are seen in large numbers.

The bill demands the US government to impose pressure on China to shut down that the illegal detention centres in the China’s Xinjiang region.
