Security Guard Shot Outside Drake’s Home Amidst Feud with Kendrick Lamar

Toronto police reported that a security guard was shot outside Canadian rapper Drake’s home during the night. The incident occurred around 02:00 EDT, with suspects firing from a vehicle near the Park Lane Circle mansion before fleeing. It’s uncertain if Drake was present or targeted in the shooting. Police are refraining from discussing motives at this early stage of investigation.

Inspector Paul Krawczyk mentioned ongoing cooperation with Drake’s team but withheld details due to video quality concerns regarding footage capturing the shooting. The victim is hospitalized in serious condition with multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the chest. Mayor Olivia Chow condemned the shooting, emphasizing the city’s stance against such violence.

Meanwhile, the feud between Drake and US rapper Kendrick Lamar, marked by a series of diss tracks, has escalated. Lamar’s recent song “Not Like Us” features Drake’s house on its cover art, alleging various controversies, including involvement with underage individuals and a secret child. Drake refuted these claims in his response track “The Heart Part 6”. Police have cordoned off Drake’s property for investigation.
